Champion Juicer Review
Champion Juicers are not only popular juicers to buy, but they're considered among the best juicers as well. The Champion line of juicers include the Champion 2000+ ((G.5-NG-853S)) for household uses and the Champion commercial juicer, which has a bit more power and is suitable for juice bars and restaurants.
Why do people love their Champion juicers? First let's start with the fact that the Champion 2000+ is a masticating juicer. That's right, it actually chews the vegetable and fruits for you, breaking up the cells of the items, giving you more fiber, enzymes and vitamins. Users of Champion juicers may notice that their juice is darker and richer in color than one might get from a conventional centrifugal-type juicer.
Champion juicers also deliver power in the form of a 1/3 horsepower, GE motor operating at 540 watts for the household version and 650 watts for the commercial version. The voltage is 110, however, there are 220-volt and 240-volt "overseas' models available as well. The Champion Juicer body is also strong, lined with stainless steel.
But that's not all you'll love about Champion juicers. The Champion 2000+ is:
Versatile - Not only can you make fruit and vegetable juices, but you can also use your Champion 2000+ to make baby food, fruit sauces, ice cream, and nut butters. If you change a part on the juicer you can also use it as a homogenizer. And, if you purchase the grain mill attachment, you can also grind coffee, flour and other grains.
Easy to assemble - requiring no nuts, bolts or screws to assemble.
Accommodating - with a feeding tube 1 3/4" in diameter, you can juice large vegetables without having to cut them into smaller pieces.
It's easy to rinse and wash the parts of the Champion juicer, however, do take note that the Champion 2000+ is not dishwasher safe, which may be a down side to some people. Another drawback may be that the Champion 2000+ does not juice wheatgrass. However, if wheatgrass is not something you're fond of and you have no plans to juice it, then the Champion 2000+ is certainly a great juicer for you.
The Champion 2000+ retails for $239.
